It has been over 6 months since the last time I've had a nice spa day (due to the pandemic) so I was excited when I received the Ritual of Karma set in the mail recently which was kindly gifted to me by the brand to try out...

Happy Tuesday!!!

Hope everyone is having a great week so far!  As it's getting closer to May, I'm halfway at an arm's reach to my goal weight and feeling stronger and healthier everyday.  My weeks have been consisted of 3-4 days of running on the treadmill for 20 minutes straight mixed with various weight training, push ups, pull ups and resistance band workouts.  Along with my workouts, I've been consistent with my healthy meals while taking supplements like Whey Protein shakes, Flaxseed Oil, CLA and other daily vitamins. I'd have to say, without these supplements and the constant workouts, I would not be seeing results weekly.

As an update, back in January, I was at my highest of 125lbs!  Holy Cow!  As of today, I am now at 114lbs!  Thank you baby Jesus!!!  Incase you were wondering, my goal weight is 108lbs.  At the moment, I'm currently setting it to 110lbs which makes it more attainable and closer to reach, right? Haha...  Gotta fit into that Lace Bodycon Dress by May 20th!!!

Aside from my usual workout, I received a phone call this morning from the folks I interviewed with 2 weeks ago during the time my family was in town.  After speaking with the Accounting Specialist (whom interviewed me), she informed me that I was one of her strongest candidates and top pick, therefore she asked me if I was still interested in the job which of course I quickly responded with a "YES, indeed!" answer. She then mentioned that she was still trying to wrap things up with interviews and so forth and that she would follow up with me on Thursday. Honestly, I wasn't expecting a call from them as I knew I had a tough competition. I suppose her follow up with me is a good sign? We'll see what happens by the end of the week!!! *Crossing Fingers*!!!

A couple days ago, I was also invited for an interview at my old alma mater of the University of California at San Diego.   The interview was for a Project Assistant position for the Healthy Environments Research and Action Center, however of course it's in San Diego and the only interviews available were for today of which flight tickets back are $500 one way!!! Such a difficult decision I had to make and weigh out since it would be a leap of faith that I would have had to take on that one.  Being thousands of miles away from where I'd ideally like to be is tough especially when it comes to job interviews so I think at the moment, I'll have to stack my chips into the last interview I had as the job is only 5 minutes away by car from home!  Not bad!

Oh yes, I also received my package from Sephora this morning along with all the samples!  I'm pretty satisfied with my second train case and wanted to share what I had been struggling to purchase for the past few months now, lol.  So here it is...

(Samples L-R) Clinique 3-Step Skin Care System, Clinique Moisture Surge Intense Hydrator,
Murad Rejuvenating Lift,  Gucci by Gucci for Men and Jack Black Hand Healer

BTW, the keys that I received with this case also work for the other case I have!  In regards to the seller who I purchase my first Sephora train case from, she finally responded and apologized.  She then said she would do what she could to find the strap and keys and send them to me free of charge.  I'm just glad she responded with a resolution.  I'm going to guess she lost it because its been a few days now since she last responded and said to give her 1-2 days to find it.  It's almost a lost cause with that one so I'm not hustling her at all for it.  Sellers should just pay more attention to what they package and to make sure they include everything mentioned in their descriptions. Just sayin'...

I've got 4 more packages on the way...

  • iPad case + Screen protectors
  • Suspender tights
  • Forever 21
  • GoJane
I'm just itching to try on all these outfits!  I'll be updating you all once they come in. Also, I'll be doing an update on a few of the many products I've been accumulating from the previous months so stay tuned ya'll!!!  Toodles for now!!!

It Has Arrived...

Its been a long wait and long behold, my new makeup train case has arrived.  As previously mentioned, this was one of the last packages I had been waiting for.  After opening the box, I was a little shocked to see that it wasn't quite what I expected.

Makeup - Try Day Friday Reviews

Happy Friday to you all! It's that time again when I thought I'd do a review on a few products that I've been using lately. These products, I'd like to say are currently holding me over until I purchase new makeup items that are currently on my shopping list.

Train Case Shopping

As most of you know, I listed a train case on my "To Do List/Wishlist" a few posts ago and for months I have been on a crazy rampage search for one. What a ride I tell you! Since last year, I had my heart set on a particular one from Sephora, however because I waited so darn long to finally get one, I then found out it was DISCONTINUED! Now why in the world is it still showing on their site?

Sunday - Half Fulfilled & Moving Forward

Happy Sunday folks! How many of you remembered to "spring forward" those clocks of yours?  As for me, I had completely forgotten to do that! See, on Sundays, I usually wake up a little later than weekdays since it's the weekend and all, mind you I slept pretty late the night before. Thinking it was only 9AM, I had a brain fart moment and suddenly realized "whoops it's 10AM" haha. Forgot to move the clock forward by an hour and didn't think to look at my phone of all things!

Anyways, moving forward... Today I had planned to run a few errands (inside the mall that is) as I've been dealing with a few headaches lately. One of those headaches was having to deal with my poor iPhone that had suffered quite a fall and hit an extremely hard surface. Even though it had a case, it unfortunately didn't hold together, therefore the mid-frame had bent! Weird right? Well, this cosmetic fracture has caused the phone alone to not fit into any cases and it looks super odd to me sticking out like a sore thumb. It took me quite a while to think about replacing it so that was my plan today...

As you can see, my iPhone was bent where the volume buttons were.
Another plan I had been thinking about is to purchase a new face primer, concealer and foundation. I'm not too pleased with the drug store ones I'm currently using in place of my MAC products that I had recently run out of.  I've been wanting to try a few other products out that are currently selling at Sephora, however after making a stop here before the Apple store and asking an employee if they had any in stock, I was shocked to hear that only another Sephora at the Galleria mall carried them which was totally out of the way from where I was currently at so I figured it wasn't meant to be. Not this time that is...

Moving on to my long awaited plan...I finally stopped in at the Apple store and made an appointment. Unfortunately the only appointment available was an hour and a half later so I had no choice but to go waste precious time window shopping. I think I've come to realize that I'm better off shopping online in the comfort of my own home rather than being around a huge crowd of people, ummm yea. It was chaos everywhere I tell you! Of course, I found some really super cute items, but I held my wallet tight and suppressed the thought of letting my loose change come out.

When my appointment time came around, I must have waited another twenty minutes of what seemed like an eternity, but after finally hearing my name being called, I was able to breath a sigh of relief. Those crowds in the Apple store are brutal! Well, I survived that deadly massacre over "The New Ipad" and finally got my replacement. Now the other headache. Restoring my phone, UGH! Luckily I backed my phone up before replacing it, but the unfortunate part is that everything I had entered into my "Notes" app had been deleted along with text messages that were so darn dear to me! I know I know, I shouldn't look back and just move forward with this new phone, right?  Darn you DAYLIGHT SAVINGS TIME! On a brighter note, I was able to fulfill one plan for today and that was to replace my phone.

Plan #1 Fulfilled
Since my Sunday was half fulfilled, I'll most likely be purchasing some products online within the next week or two. Here are some items that are on my To Do List that i'll be keeping as a reminder for myself...
