What It Is
It's a 2 in 1 foaming cleanser that provides the power of deep cleansing and exfoliation in one simple step.
What It Does
It deep cleans beyond what the eye can see and exfoliates to help minimize the appearance of pores. The oil-free formula combines the power of a deep cleanser and exfoliant in one gentle cleanser
The Formula
This formula contains deep cleansing ribbons that sweep away dirt and impurities for fresh clean skin. It also contains Exfoliating Microbead Ribbons which refine skin and minimize the appearance of pores. Also, it contains Salicylic Acid which is a common ingredient in skin care products for the treatment of acne. It's especially great at exfoliating the skin deep within the follicle to help keep the pores clear of bacteria while reducing the number of breakouts on the skin.
How to Use
Work the product into a foamy lather and massage over moistened face. Rinse thoroughly with water to remove. It's said to use twice a day for best results.
Price
Suggested retail price is $12.99. I purchased this product for $6.99 from Target.
PRODUCT REVIEW
- The packaging is quite unique. It certainly looks refreshing from the outside and reminds me of those "Aquafresh" toothpaste tubings I used as a child.
- Has an invigorating scent.
- It worked well at removing all my makeup.
- This product left my skin feeling soft after each application.
- After a week of using the product, I broke out on the chin area which was not so pleasant.
- It does what it says in regards to minimizing pores and making your face feel refreshed.
- I find this product is best to use at night rather than twice a day as it made my skin oily in the day even if I didn't step outside without makeup on mind you my skin is normally on the dry side.
- It would have worked well for me if I didn't break out after a week of using. I really wanted to love this product, but because of it, I'm now dealing with a few pimples that I haven't had in so long! Oh the horror! Thanks
OIL ofOlay!
Ahh yes, now you know why this product has been hidden away for quite some time. It took me using it to bring back those memories of how it originally made my skin feel - no bueno. Due to these breakouts and after long research on how to combat these annoyances, I picked up two of these products below called Cerave that were raved about by various media outlets, beauty bloggers as well as dermatologists. Also, instead of Clearasil, I picked up this product by Acne Free of which I honestly haven't heard much about until I did a quick review search on it and read it worked well on a lot of folks so stay tuned as I'll be reviewing these products soon!

Deletei also have combination skin. tried olay a few years back but it gave me breakouts. i've never had that much pimples my whole life, so i never tried using any of their products again. the only brands that work well with my skin are neutrogena, clinique and some korean brands. :)
ReplyDeleteThanks a bunch for your feedback! I remembered trying an Olay moisturizer a couple years back as well and it broke me out horribly :P. Neutrogena does work pretty well! I have yet to try any Clinique or Korean products, however I will definitely look into that. ;) TY XoXo
DeleteThanks for the product review Jen. I'm a fan of Olay too. Glad to know that this particular product contains Salicylic Acid. I often check the ingredients label every time I look for beauty products, and one of them is Salicylic Acid.
ReplyDeleteNo problem Cherry! Yes, this is one of their few products that I'm familiar with that carries that ingredient and doesn't dry out the skin which is nice ;)
