Basic Pan-Fried Thin Pork Chops

Not sure what to do with those Pork Chops sitting in your fridge? Are you interested in doing something different for a change? Here's a little something I whipped up in the kitchen earlier that I thought would be great to share with you all...

About This Recipe:
Prep Time: 10 mins   Total Time: 20 mins  Servings: 4-6
This is a great pan-seared Pork Chop made with no egg mixture. Most times you dip the meat into the egg and then dredge, however this without the egg fits the bill. A simple and basic recipe that can be altered to suit anyone's taste, this is one that I enjoy whipping up every so often. After making this for dinner earlier, my greatest critic gave me an A+ for putting together such a tasteful and well portioned meal. Enjoy!

Ingredients:

1 1/2 lbs wafer-thin Boneless Pork Chops
1 Tsp. Salt
2 Tsp. Seasoned Pepper (I like Lemon Pepper)
1/4 Cup Vegetable Oil
1/2 White Onion (sliced)
1/2 Cup All-Purpose Flour
1/2 Tbs. Lemon Zest

Healthy Sides:
*Optional Organic Items*

Sweet Potato
Broccoli

Directions:
  1. Combine the flour, salt and pepper in a large shallow bowl. Dredge each pork chop into the flour mixture to coat evenly. Shake off excess flour.
  2. Place oil in a large, heavy skillet and heat over high. When hot, add the sliced onions to the skillet and cook mixing it around for about a minute. Remove and set aside.
  3. Add the pork chops to the skillet and cook for about 1-2 minutes on each side, until browned and crisp working in batches as to not overcrowd the pan.  Makes a great pan-sear.
  4. When done, remove from skillet and drain on paper towel on a separate plate. Add the onions lemon zest for that extra zing!

Bon Appétit!
